A cosy haven nestled on the corner of the Cronjestraat in Haarlem, that caters to the conscious consumer, with a focus on nourishing the body, mind and soul. Our commitment to promoting well-being and sustainability is fueled by a plant-based kitchen, utilizing all the magic that nature provides.
We envisioned a space that would take our guests on a multi-cultural culinary journey, where they become part of our creative process through daily specials and an ephemeral menu based on local and seasonal produce. We are an international team who share, inspire and celebrate in each other’s cultures.
Lief is your home away from home, where we manifest positivity and inspire individuals to indulge in wholesome and delicious food , while also contributing to the betterment of our planet.

Lief is more than just a place to grab a quick bite or a cup of coffee. We strive to offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers can escape the hustle and bustle of their busy lives and find a moment of peace and relaxation. Borrow a book from our community shared library, or work from your laptop with a nutritious lunch. We can cater to all dietary needs, and make special cakes to order. We aim to be as inclusive as possible with our offering, including freshly ground decaf for caffeine-sensitive guests, an assortment of alcohol-free beverages such as our virgin espresso martini and complimentary babyccinos for our littlest regulars.
